Deliberate Practice
I read a book when I first started out in my carear , called the pragmatic programmer.  It’s a bit about how to design and develop computer system to increase the likihood they are ‘high’ quailty.  One of the concepts in the book is ‘deliberate practice’.  The concept is that if you program a computer everyday you will improve a bit but by leaps and bounds.  In order to get better you need ‘deliberate’ poractice.  You need to read aobut something that is outside you’re comfort zone, you need to try learn about new appraoches and techniques.  Basically, unles syou are an expert doing the same thing over and over won’t get you outstanding results.  You always need to strive to push you’re comfort level, pick the path ath seems the most daunting.
In The Role of Deliberate Practice in the Acquisition of Expert Performance scientists have demonstarted that the quality of your practice is just as important as the amount you practice, tthat expert-level performance is primarily the result of expert-level practice NOT due to innate talent.  To quote the paper ‘the differences between expert performers and normal adults reflect a life-long period of deliberate effort to improve performance in a specific domain.’.  The good news for you is that if you feel that life is simply not fair and that you’ll never get the sucess that the author of the game got or some world famous pick-up artist it’s simply not true.  As long as you have the WORLD class information and make a commitment to practice you can become as good as you want.  You making a commitment to getting better is the only thing stopping your sucess.  In other words, it’s not about what you’re born with or how naturally girls treat you. Your sucess is mainly based on how consistently and deliberately you practice to improve your performance.
Deliberate Practice is the ability to commit to practice an activity that will push you beyond your normal comfort zones.  It’s by finding out and trying new techniques, tips, information that will improve you in that area.  Deliberate practice is the thing that takes effort, it’s not jsut coasting on you’re previous techniques.  If you want to get better with women you must start practicing deliberatly and incorporate it into your daily life.  There are four tlearning conditions that can help
  1. Motivation to read and learn and improve your performance.
  2. The practice should take into account your current level od knowledge so you can apply that knowledge after a brief period of instruction.
  3. You need to measure your sucess.  You need feedback to undertsand if you’re applying something correctly, or, that what you are trying out works.
  4. Repeat the task until it becomes second nature.
